The Council is the main deliberative body of the Course of Study, and has the task of collaborating with the Department in the organisation and coordination of teaching activities. In particular, it is the duty of the Course Council to: express opinions and make proposals on any matter pertaining to the course of study, including the allocation of tenure-track positions, the activation and coverage of courses falling within the remit of the Course of Study; examine and approve students' study plans, as well as to recognise training credits; make proposals for the organisation of the tutoring service and the remunerated employment of students for services of interest to the Course of Study; adopt any other resolution provided for by law, the statute and university regulations.
Composition
Tenured professors and researchers belonging to the course, as well as student representatives in the amount of 15% of the full professors of the course, are members of the Council. Contract and adjunct professors participate in the Council meetings with an advisory vote.
The Council is chaired by a tenured professor, who has the title of Coordinator, elected from among its members in accordance with the procedures established by the regulations of the Course of Study and appointed by rectoral decree. 4. The Coordinator shall hold office for three years and may be re-elected once consecutively.
