Those in possession of a secondary school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad, suitable for access to a university course of study equivalent to a degree, or enrolment in the final year of secondary school with the prospect of sitting the exam for the final qualification in the 2023-24 school year, may enrol in the degree. It should be noted that foreign qualifications are eligible if they were obtained following attendance of the last two years of the foreign education system (without prejudice to bilateral agreements on the matter), and if they allow access to a similar course of study at the university of the country to which they refer and are obtained after 12 years of schooling.
Knowledge of the English language, minimum level B2 (with reference to the Common European Framework - CEFR) is also required. Applicants may declare that they already meet the English language proficiency requirement in one of the following ways
- through an international certificate of English language knowledge recognised by certifying bodies accredited by MIUR (https://www.miur.gov.it/enti-certificatori-lingue-straniere);
- by declaring that they are native speakers of English
- by self-certifying that you are a citizen or resident of a country where English is the official language.
Verification of the language requirement will take place after the finalisation of enrolment according to the procedures that will be published on the course portal. Should this check prove negative, the candidate enrolled in the course of study, in order to demonstrate that he/she has the required level of knowledge of English, must take a test in English during the first year, as an additional educational requirement. This test will be taken in the manner and according to the timetable that will be published on the University of Messina's Law Department website. There is no programmed number.
